Hi,
this is my book about the 3 things that matters to me the bake , love and life,
Im gonna start with bake, why? Because I love baking, I
begin to like it when I was young, but because I grow up poor I thought I
cannot experience baking In our own kitchen, I started to make pancakes in a
simple ingredients such as flour eggs and sugar
and if I have extra money I also buy milk and margarine, just to satify
myself that I can mix ingredients that connects into baking but then in our
house we don’t have oven so I just cook it in the pan or steam and im happy
with the result, I can see a texture its fluffy,airy,and delicious! So I begin
to feel excited and eager to make more
and wanting ,wishing to get an oven and tryto
bake in our own kitchen, over the time I then start to put vanilla, and
a flavoring like banana, chocolate and carrot and it works! , ofcourse theres
also failure but It didn’t stop me from my dream to bake , I realize every
failure that I experience in making those things it gives me so much learning
and excitement,
One day my sister arrive from Singapore I know she can
afford to buy a small electric oven so I asked her if she can buy 1 so I can
bake for the family and happily she said yes, that day I was so excited I think
that finally we can have an oven! i can
bake! It was a dream come true, so we went to the city and we found a good oven, since then I start
a real baking in our own kitchen i
practice a good chocolate cake coated with a ganache, a red velvet cake, and a chiffon cake, it was
very fulfilling when I heard my niece and nephew ‘ aunty its delicious’! it makes me inspired to bake more cakes!
Since then I begin to dream big ,I told myself I want to become a good baker
some day! That dream im working on, I always watch cooking show or a baking
videos online that makes me inspire and tell myself I can do it too, I practice
baking and learned to be organize in the the kitchen,
Luckily I had the chance to study in the City , I took up
Diploma in baking and pastry arts there I really feel like yey im going to be a
good baker, I learned different types bread, cake, cupcakes,shortbread,
cookies, entremets,petite gateau all
those things I learned as an introduction of my skills in the baking world, I
also begin to like to build my own dream wedding cakes ,figurines using
fondant,and many more, I realise the important thing in baking is to be precise
in weighing the ingredients and getting the right
temperature in your oven, every oven in this world has different temperature so
I suggest you to get a oven thermometer so you get the precise temperature in
your oven or usually getting the right
temperature usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, theres also important thing I
learned in baking, and that is to be patient, yes to be patient, because in
baking you have to wait the right time, you have to plan , you cannot form or
create a delicious dessert without patient,planning and right timing,
sometimes a recipe calls for freezing or
chilling so this is the time to test your patient, so it is always patient…. I
tell you im not really a patient person but in bake world I am very patient
because I want my desserts to be Wonderful,
1 tip I can advise you is that when creating a plated dessert theres
should be the components, it should have
1 the main item example is your epic chocolate mousse ,2 is sauce like caramel
sauce or any sauce you like just remember that it will also compromise with
your main item,3 is the crunch example for that is crumble or nuts ,and 4 is
the garnish,in this component you can use some vibrant color fruits like
strawberry , or you can use herbs too, these thing is the few of many that you
can learn in the world of baking and pastry,
I am very lucky that I was able to study Again in a
prestigious baking and pastry school in the country , so yes i study twice
about baking and pastry arts, this time I took up a 9 months advance
diploma in baking and pastry , plus ill have 1 month intensive training in malaysia , in this journey of mine, I learned
a lot in advance level about baking and pastries, especially French pastries , some
of my favorite topic is the plated dessert and wedding cake, its really
important to practice what you learned because over the time you will improve
and become a better in what you do,
